Meet Van Le
Van Le is a lifelong community advocate, refugee, and public servant with more than 40 years of service to San José families.
As an East Side Union High School District Trustee, Van has spent 16 years fighting for students, families, safety, equity, and fiscal responsibility.
Her life’s work has focused on uplifting immigrant and refugee families, strengthening public education, and making sure every community has a voice.
Van is running to bring responsive, community-centered leadership to District 7.

Serving her fourth term on the East Side Union High School District Board, Van has helped improve educational opportunities while maintaining fiscal responsibility for taxpayers.

Founder of the Children's Moon Festival, creating one of San José's largest annual cultural celebrations while raising scholarship funds for local students.

Raised funds for homeless youth, supported immigrant and refugee families, and advocated for survivors of domestic violence through community service and volunteer leadership.
